08 Jan Hemlines & Higher Ed // What I Wore
This outfit is perfect for getting exercise during a busy day, running errands, going to class, or just wanting to stay more casual. All of the garments in this outfit can be worn with so many different colors, fabrics, and garments. I always wear these gray and white herringbone leggings while working out, especially when the temperature outside gets a little colder (which is rare here in Waco Texas) The Lululemon cardigan I’m wearing is also a great option to have in your closet because it can be worn for workout wear and casual day outfits. The long sleeve white lulu top is a must for winter workouts because it keeps you warm but you still feel able to breathe in it! Finally, I’m wearing my staple tennis shoes by Nike, the colors in these shoes are my favorite colors to wear and go with anything and everything. They’re especially perfect if you want to try the whole “wearing tennis shoes with cute clothes” trend!
I love love love this outfit! This dress is a multi-season dress. I wear it all the time in the summer and all the time in the winter! Texas winters aren’t the coldest, so I wore this cute outfit without tights; but if you live in a state where winter is actually winter, I suggest wearing this sherpa vest with a long sleeve turtleneck dress, tights, and knee high boots.
Do these shoes look familiar? I have them also in gray! These boots are a must have for every girl and are so comfortable! They go with casual or nicer outfits and are so trendy this season!
I found this top while shopping at one of my favorite boutiques in Waco, Roots. I didn’t know how much I would wear it since it is such a one-season piece, but I have found so many ways to wear it! I wore it on Christmas Eve and during a night out with my college friends before winter break and got so many compliments! It is perfect for the holiday season and goes great in different climates. While I was wearing it in Texas I wore it as it is, but when I was in Colorado on vacation I wore a black turtle neck underneath for warmth and it looked just as cute!
Once again, I’m wearing my go-to Dolce Vita over the knee boots, I totally recommend getting these; you wont regret it!
I have had this outfit in my closet for years. I love how easy it is to wear and how well it works with living in Texas and trying to pull off the whole “winter clothes in hot temperatures” look. These boots have been worn way too many times, I got them in the seventh grade and they have stuck with me since, I love the green in them and the length of the boot adds a really cool look that can make any outfit a little less girly. You will for sure be seeing some green and gold in a lot of my posts, they are my college school colors and happen to go together very well 😉
Also… the sweater I’m wearing is currently on sale for only $32!! Go get it now!!
