29 Jan Hemlines & Higher Ed // What I Wore
So school started back up and my life got crazy busy with cheering for basketball season, my sorority, and of course my new classes! So I am posting a bit of a late post about what I wore this week!
In this picture taken by Megan Weaver Photography, I’m wearing my favorite winter white Zara jacket with my muted pink denim jeans, pink faux fur scarf, and these over the knee gray boots. It can be hard at times to incorporate softer colors like these because they are typically seasoned with spring and summer, but the fur scarf, boots, and hefty fabric in the jacket make it perfect for a cold day out. I love the color scheme of the outfit and think it goes really well with the theme of the website! What do you think?
If you haven’t noticed, my favorite color to wear is black, and many times a week you can catch me wearing this color from head to toe. Black truly is the chicest color to wear in my opinion. It’s slimming, easy to match, and makes me feel so much cooler than I actually am. This outfit took a total of two minutes for me to put together which is awesome when I decide to wake up 30 minutes before making my first class. I’m wearing these black distressed skinny jeans, a traditional black V-neck, and my all time favorite black cut off Chanel boots that I live in as well.
I wore this number to my formal last night and felt like a million bucks. I remember seeing it on a hanger in Tootsies and having heart failure over the blue leather metallic work of perfection in front of me. It’s so different and edgy and structured and I just love it a lot. The designer, Catherine Deane, is incredibly talented in dress making/designing. She kills it in the “working with leather” sect and has such a different design style that makes her dresses truly look one of a kind. Not to mention she has a beautiful bridal selection too!
