Circle Seven Five

Dallas is a great place to live. There’s so much to do and see and there are so many amazing people from all walks of life to meet. I moved here in 2010 to be in the same city as my boyfriend [now husband] and I’ve found myself thanking my lucky stars that he gave me an instant community to join. Since we’ve been married, our community has grown exponentially through our church, neighborhood and crossfit and I’m blessed to say that I am thriving in my community. It’s so important to be surrounded with people who value what you do and who care to experience life alongside of you.

I can imagine that finding that community in Dallas is so hard for some people who are transplanted to this big city. Dallas can be overwhelming to jump into, especially being a girl, because so many people grow up here, go to school here and already have people to see and places to go without you. While this city can feel small, it can also seem larger than life, which can provide for loneliness for a twenty-something young professional, I’m sure.

I was approached by a friend of mine to try out and join a new community in Dallas called Circle Seven Five. The whole premise behind this group is that they provide fun activities for young women to do together and community for them to share. They seek out young professional women from all over Dallas and give them an instant community to join, complete with things to do, discounts to share, places to try and memories to be made. They encourage networking together to grow in their professional lives, but they also acknowledge that it’s not all business and there are some fun events centered around everything from macaron baking to watching The Bachelor.

I obliged to give CSF a try because it seemed like a fun thing to do, but I have to be honest that, as a 27-year-old mom, I didn’t think I’d like it. I was expecting gossip, immaturity and altogether a sorority experience… I was SO wrong.

My first event was a macaron baking workshop, which had my name all over it! I walked into a room of women I didn’t know, which is always intimidating. They ALL greeted me with a smile and a confident introduction. I met girls with all different types of jobs, from all over the world [one was from Honduras!] and all walks of life! They were all DARLING… DARLING!!! I had the best time laughing and chatting with all of them!

A week or so later, F, B and I were at a pizzeria and three girls walked over to the table. They recognized me from the event and came over to say hi. I introduced them as my new friends. Just like that, I was a part of a community. There was a friendsgiving and a parisian-themed flapper party and Christmas cookie decorating sessions and more! Private shopping events, late nights at the DMA and workout classes were all monthly events that were exclusive to CSF members… the perks were great, but the relationships were better!

If you are a young professional woman in Dallas, whether a native or a transplant, I cannot recommend this group more! A membership gets you access to fun events and lot’s of CSF-Member-ONLY discounts all around the metroplex!  Check out Circle Seven Five for more information on how to join and become a part of the community!
