31 Oct Rhapsody in Red Charity Gala // Red Dress Round Up
Happy Halloween Monday, Everyone!
This is a BIG week for me! Today is Halloween and there are so many fun things that that entails! Then, I’m headed to Austin tomorrow for the night to visit my mom and my grandmother. Then I come back on Wednesday and get to do another round of silent disco yoga on Thursday and then Saturday is Rhapsody in Red Charity Gala! I seriously CANNOT WAIT!
What is Rhapsody in Red? It’s a charity gala benefitting Cherish Uganda, an incredible organization that provides love, care, housing and education for children born with HIV in Uganda. Often times these children, who can’t help that they were born with this horrible disease, are outcasted from society and even abandoned by their own families! Cherish Uganda provides them with a loving community, food, shelter, medicine and care and does it all in the name of Jesus! Hallelujah!
The Rhapsody in Red charity gala is a formal event on Saturday evening at the George W Bush Presidential Library and Museum! There will be great food, live music, a silent auction and the whole event is hosted by everyone’s favorite Bachelor, author and fellow blogger, Sean Lowe! Seriously, y’all… he has a blog… here it is!
Want to know my favorite part of the event? Guests are encouraged to wear red! How fun is that? [Side note… our biggest sorority rivals at Baylor were the Pi Phi’s… BIG TIME RIVALS [great girls, though]… anyways… they had this dance called Firedance every single year where all the girls wore red dresses and the photos were all so amazing and cool and all us Kappas were low-key jealous… it’s a thing. I’m admitting it out loud for all to read. Kappas secretly think Pi Phi Firedance is cool.]
So… I’ve had like 10 years to imagine what I’d wear to an all red-dress party! And I finally get to go to one on Saturday! Today, I’m rounding up all my favorite red dresses that I’d just love to wear on Saturday [even though I already have one]!
Here are my favorite red dresses right now:
