You’re Invited // Rhapsody in Red Charity Gala

Happy Monday, Everyone!

I’ve been hard at work this week preparing for the 2nd annual Rhapsody in Red Charity Gala in a few weeks! I’ve taken on so many different projects in my life, but deciding to be the chair of this year’s gala has been one of the hardest and most rewarding things I’ve ever done. We’re coming around the corner and headed straight towards the end of this journey and I am more excited than ever for the party! I’m thankful for the amazing committee I’ve worked with, the incredible sponsors who have given so much to make this event what it is and the relationships I’ve made along the way! Needless to say, I’ve been a little MIA… this is why!

What is the Rhapsody in Red Charity Gala?

It’s a charity gala benefitting Cherish Uganda, an incredible organization that provides love, care, housing and education for children born with HIV in Uganda. Often times these children, who can’t help that they were born with this horrible disease, are outcasted from society and even abandoned by their own families! Cherish Uganda provides them with a loving community, food, shelter, medicine and care and does it all in the name of Jesus! Hallelujah!

The 2nd Annual Rhapsody in Red charity gala is a formal event on Saturday, November 4th at Union Station! There will be great food [by Wolfgang Puck], live music [with Limelight, an Emerald City Band], a silent auction and the whole event is hosted by everyone’s favorite Bachelor, author and fellow blogger, Sean Lowe! Seriously, y’all… he has a blog… here it is!

Want to know my favorite part of the event? Guests are encouraged to wear red! How fun is that? I picked up my red dress at Tootsie’s, which is my favorite Dallas boutique and has sponsored this event both last year and again this year! I’m so thankful for that store and their heart for others!

I’m the gala chair for Rhapsody in Red this year, which means that I’ve been in charge of the entire shin-dig. It’s been a ton of work, but I’ve had SO much fun doing it. I’ve been working closely with our amazing committee and Molly from Pop Parties to put this thing together and I’m so excited to see it all come together!
