The Macro Diaries // Week 8

FacebookTwitterPinterest

Well, it’s official… I’ve completed my 8th and final week of my Macro-Counting Challenge! I can’t believe how fast the 8 weeks went by and how awesome the results are! Since it’s the last week, there are before and after photos, but at the very end. I don’t want someone new clicking on my pretty blog and going ‘WHAT THA?!?!’ when the first thing that pops up is my before photo! HAH! Here’s my week 8 update:

Food-wise: This week I was very focused on only eating my allotted numbers since I cheated so badly in Napa. I did a great job and I feel like I’m finally back to what I was before I left for my trip. It definitely took a while, though, so I am SO thankful that my WAG coach, Hayden, warned me that you don’t just ‘bounce back’.
Emotion-wise: I’m feeling much better because the weight is dropping again and my measurements went down instead of up like last week. I’m also renewed in my efforts to take care of myself!
Sleep-wise: hahaha! But, actually, a teeny tiny… I’m talking MOLECULE-SIZED, better.
Training:I had a really intense workout on Monday and back squatted 135 lbs! I’m feeling a little bit more like my old self [I mean, pre-pregnancy self]! YAY! It’s so nice to not just hit a wall within the first 3 minutes of a workout. For all you postpartum beauties out there, it DOES get better!
Overall: I’m glad I did this program. I didn’t lose the 10 pounds I wanted to, but I lost [almost] 7, which I’m so happy with. My body looks great and overall, I’ve learned A LOT about how much protein, carbs and fats my body really needs on a daily basis. I also learned a lot about the composition of foods. I’ll definitely continue being mindful of my daily intake! I will continue counting my macros because t works for me.

So, without further ado… here are my results:

Starting Weight: 132.4 lbs
Ending Weight: 125.6 lbs
Total Weight Loss: 6.8 lbs

Starting Measurements: Bust – 35.25″ // Waist – 30.8″ // Hips – 39.25″
Ending Measurements: Bust – 32.8″ // Waist – 29.2″ // Hips – 38.75″
Total Inches Lost:  Bust – 2.45″ // Waist – 1.6″ // Hips – 0.5″

I’m not a numbers person, so this is what REALLY takes the cake… my before, during and after photos…

*Disclaimer… these photos were taken at 5:30am on Tuesday mornings… Don’t judge. I’m being vulnerable here because, you know, you are a part of my inner circle [all 38264579573930+ of you…]

Week 1, Week 4 and Week8 of the Macro-Counting Challenge! Holy Cow! #thehisforblog

Here I am on day 1, week 4 and week 8. Pretty big difference, huh? I’m actually pretty proud of these. Hard work pays off. Remember that day 1 was 11 weeks after my son was born, so I had the weight to lose in my waist, but I’m surprised to see the changes in my arms, legs and booty!

If if you have any questions about WAG or macro-counting, comment below!

Happy Wednesday!

Would love to know more about the macro counting and process! Something I have heard a lot about but don’t even know where to start! Great job!

Check out my weekly posts on my experience. I did a breakdown of what I ate every day and everything. Once you’ve done that, let me know if you have any questions and I’ll be happy to help you. It’s a lot of work, but I think it’s TOTALLY worth the effort!

Hi! I’m thinking of joining WAG. Overall, do you find that its worth it? Would you do it again?
