22 Oct What I Wore // Suede Tank + The Most Perfect East Dallas Date Night!
It’s starting to feel like Fall, y’all! It’s drizzly outside and the high today is going to be in the high 70’s! I can’t tell you how ready I am for this cooler weather… something about having a baby makes you hot hot HOT all the time time TIME… I can’t be the only person who has had hot-flashes postpartum! I mean, one minute I’m fine and the next, I’m a dewy mess who’s stripping off her clothes and running through the house cursing at her husband [who’s shivering in a hoodie] for putting the thermostat on 70! He once said to me as I complained in the middle of the night that he’d bring a fan in and we could keep the thermostat above 68 to save some money… it didn’t go over well… sweet man!
Anyways! I’ve found this Fall season to be particularly frustrating when it comes to being hot. I want to wear all my fun fall things, but it’s still eighty-something outside and it’s just not feasible. I’ve had to get creative, finding fall fabrics that don’t cover every inch of my body. That’s why I LOVE this suede, razorback tank top from Laundry by Shelli Segal! I’ve had it forever, so I’ve linked other that are like it so you can shop below!
For a double date night out with our best friends, I paired my suede top with my favorite Made In Heaven flare jeans and my go-to Goyard bag. This look was so simple, so comfortable and I was able to sit outside for dinner! It was perfect, which is why I’m sharing it with you! Next time I wear it, I’ll probably layer a long, gold necklace [maybe like this Kendra Scott one I received in my Rocksbox this month!] over it. But, you know… with a baby, I was lucky to leave the house with my hair done! Picking my battles… By the way, if you use the code THEHISFORXOXO, you can get your first month of Rocksbox FREE!!
We had a wonderful date night eating at Clark’s on Greenville. I’m a fry snob, so trust me when I tell you to ORDER THEIR FRENCH FRIES! They have wine on tap there too! Clark’s is next door to my favorite Ceviche and Tequila bar, which we stopped by for a Tequila tasting after! We each had a small sip of a different type of tequila, which was fun! [definitely try their ceviche though… amazing!] We walked around lowest Greenville and ended the evening at the Bodega Wine Bar on Mockingbird, where we had cheese and chocolate and a yummy glass of wine! I had the best time with F and our friends, Kevin and Michelle!
It was the perfect night!
What do you like to do for your date nights out? I need ideas for the next one!
