05 Oct Get Ready for Halloween with Pottery Barn Kids
Happy Hump Day, Halloween Style! Now that it’s October, I want to help you get ready for Halloween and all it entails from decorating your house to finding a costume for your little one to getting that Halloween party ready! Today, I’m talking about my favorite decor and costumes for halloween with Pottery Barn Kids! PBK has the BEST Halloween stuff that is appropriate for the whole family and their costumes are to DIE for… MUA-HA-HA-HA!!! [Too much? Sorry.]
Let’s start with decorations:
From the ‘Trick or Treat’ banner to the flameless ghost candles and spiderweb candles to the spooky light up trees and bat-cutout pumpkin luminary, Pottery Barn Kids has some of the CUTEST Halloween decorations I’ve ever seen! Whether planning a party or decorating your home for the season, these items are sure to WOW your children, family and guests! For this party, we hung the PBK black and white striped canopy at the entrance of our home for guests to walk through as they entered to make it feel like they were walking into a fun house! Currently, it hangs over B’s teepee full of toys and he LOVES it! But, my favorite piece of all is, by far, the Halloween Countdown Calendar! Each day in October, you move the little spider all over the web into its corresponding space! It’s fun, engaging and B loves counting the numbers and moving the spider!

Now for my favorite part… THE COSTUMES!
ARE THESE NOT THE GREATEST THINGS YOU HAVE EVER SEEN? GET YOUR BABIES READY FOR HALLOWEEN WITH POTTERY BARN KIDS COSTUMES, Y’ALL. THEY. ARE. AMAZING.
We have the cutest trio of siblings, all with AMAZING hair, might I add! Big sister is the most beautiful witch I’ve ever seen in the Black Witch Costume. I mean, she could be a little witch supermodel! Sweet natured and so precious with her younger siblings! Middle brother is a darling werewolf [which is probably my favorite costume on the Pottery Barn Kids website, might I add]! He loved it and wanted to wear it home! I say WHY NOT!? He’s precious! I mean, how fun is that costume for a boy? Actually, never mind, baby brother might have won the day in the fun baby boy costume department… the toddler ‘Super Boy’ costume was a hit for sure! Isn’t his hair AMAZING? And that CAPE! and MASK! SO CUTE.
We’ve got the most precious little blondie angel in the toddler butterfly fairy costume. She was adorably waving her scepter over the table as the kids ate! You could tell she loved wearing it, too! Th tutu and the wings and the scepter and the tiara… she felt like a princess! Mr. W is the world’s cutest firefighter! He not only looked amazing in his getup, but he took his role seriously, making sure the other kids were safe and having fun! I adore this little boy! He’s a DOLL!
My baby boy, B-Man, was a race car driver! He’s obsessed with “carsh” and loves making their sounds “beep beep!” and “vroom vroom!”. Y’all, I know parents are supposed to be in love with their kids, but I feel like I have a sickness… I’m so in love with him, I can feel it in my tummy right now as I type this… He’s just the best and most precious and I adore him… okay… back to his costume… He LOVES the 3D car and wants to wear it all the time! It’s easy, inexpensive and my little, active toddler boy who won’t wear clothes most days, wore it all evening over his jeans and converses! Y’all… it saved Halloween for us!
YOU HAVE TO SCROLL TO THE BOTTOM FOR THE BEST PHOTOS OF THE NIGHT. Seriously… you have to see these:
Can we talk for a moment about the tutu giraffe and her tiny elephant brother? B-Man’s best gal and future wifey, Miss B and her brand-new baby brother, Baby F were the most darling duo of Zoo Animals I’ve ever seen! Katie and Nate, your children are PERFECTION and I love them so! I had B in a Pottery Barn Kids costume last year for his first Halloween because they make them so soft and functional. None of the kids were itchy or uncomfortable in their costumes. PBK for the win!
I mean… seriously? It doesn’t get any cuter than this! Kristen Dee Photography takes the most beautiful photos, like the ones above. If you need someone to photograph your family in Dallas, she’s your girl!

Guys, I love this holiday because it’s the start of all the amazing family traditions and memories that the end of the year holds. Don’t rush through it all. These are the moments you’ll remember most! Make the season special and fun for you and your family. Laugh. Be together. Take pictures. You’ll be so happy you did… and so will they!
Happy Hump Day!
