28 Aug Julia’s Book Club – Meet Julia
I am excited to be reading and writing for you, because much of what The H is For… has shared has shaped how I live and how I think. I can’t recall exactly when I started following Chandler, but I can remember that her posts consistently give me hope, cheer me up, and make me smile at her beautiful family. I recall one post, maybe sometime in 2018, about her priorities. Chandler wrote that she tried hard to only say YES to things that fit into her priorities: Faith, Family/Friends, and empowering other women (something like that). So, I wrote down my own priorities and put the words on my mirror, in my car, and in my planner. I thank God for putting Chandler in my life for that tip and many more.
Here we are today and I have my very own book club on The H is For…! I love to read and I have an extensive background with the bible as I grew up Catholic in Catholic Catechism and took bible and Christianity classes in college. I now attend a Methodist church in Fort Worth and am a Christian. I like to read from a Christian lens, so many of the books I’ll review here will be about faith and books that empower women to be the best versions of themselves.
I moved to Texas from Colorado Springs (well, Monument, Colorado, where I grew up) in 2014 to attend TCU. After 4 truly AWESOME years at TCU, I decided to stay in Fort Worth, Texas. I work in banking in downtown Fort Worth and enjoy living in the Magnolia area. In my time outside of work, I enjoy traveling, reading, and being active (sometimes simultaneously). I like to focus on serving God through everything I do and I believe noticing my failures only helps me grow spiritually. Thanks for reading along as I embark on this adventure to share my honest thoughts on books with you all!
