25 Oct Kid-Friendly, Spooky Halloween Drink Recipe
Jump to recipeHalloween is just a week away, and there are so many ways to make the season fun for little ones. Each year at my house, we have a trick or treat party for our families. We gather together, eat dinner and then head out in the neighborhood to trick or treat with the kiddos. I love to find ways to make the food and drinks fun for the children and the adults, and this is one of my favorite ways to do it!
It’s super easy and inexpensive. Plus, thanks to Surf Sweets gummy worms, I don’t have to worry about refined sugars and toxic dyes either! The kids love it and honestly, I’ve seen a few adult toss the gummy worm ice in their drinks, too! At a party I hosted a few years ago, I found some science beakers at a local craft store and served the drinks in those! So spooky!
KID-FRIENDLY HALLOWEEN DRINK
Ingredients
- Ice cube tray
- Lime LaCroix
- All-Natural Gummy Worms [we love the brand Surf Sweets]
Instructions
- The day before your party, take out enough gummy worms and roll them to fill each ice cube tray.
- Cover the worms with water and freeze the trays
- After a few hours, pop them out and place them in a bowl.
- In a kid-friendly cup, [for the older kids, I used these chemistry beakers for a mad-scientist feel!] place a few ice cubes and fill up with the lime La Croix.
- Add a fun, halloween straw like these.
- As the ice melts, the kids will have a fun surprise.
